4 reasons why Graduates hate Marketing jobs

The labor market in Nigeria is not very friendly, that is why most people run to banks for work. However, what type of work is available in most banks today? The answer like we all know is Marketing. Most people however flinch at the thought of getting a marketing job. Why is that? Let us explore the reasons below:

Quotas

Most people find it difficult to work with a quota hanging over their heads. For the most part quotas stifle creativity, making it difficult to function properly.

Unrealistic targets

The employers for the most part place unrealistic targets on their employees. Targets that will take the impossible to meet. This has driven many marketers into engaging in desperate tactics to meet their targets.

Working Conditions

Harsh working conditions are another reason why most graduates and undergraduates avoid marketing jobs. Usually Marketers spend hours in the sun daily scouring for customers and walk long distances to meet up targets.

Low Earning power

Most times the pay for marketing jobs is not commensurate with the effort involved and this is why most people avoid such jobs.
