As an engineering student, you are expected to be the best of the best and usually engineering students are usually quite bright, yet they still have courses they struggle with. What are some of these?
Engineering Drawing
This is almost like Technical Drawing that we did in secondary school, but more advanced. It is usually difficult for most engineering student to pass this course, because it requires a combination of artistic talent and engineering precision. Something that only a few have.
2. Engineering Thermodynamics
Engineering thermodynamics is usually introduced in second year and is the beginning of engineering courses for some, therefore it brings with it a lot of confusion for young engineers.
3. Matrix
In mathematics, the ability to solve matrix is fundamental to most engineering calculations later in life. Therefore, it is quite important to learn matrix in all its forms and this is not an easy task.
4. Transportation Problems (Operations Research)
This subject has to do with finding the best way to carry out production and optimize efficiency. It usually comes in the fourth year of study and is confusing if not well understood.
5. Control Systems
Designing of efficient control systems is the basis of several engineering courses. Yet learning the basics of control system design comes in the final year of most courses and can be very difficult.
So are you an engineering graduate? Share with us some subjects you struggled with.
