N500,000 to be won in Nigerian Primary and Secondary School Competition

Nigerian creative media firm, Macwrites Writing Solutions, has announced the‘Macwrites Spelling Bee Challenge’ for primary and secondary schools in the country.

Announcing the competition in a press release signed by Macwrites Communication Officer,Blessing P. Okereke, the winner of the Challenge will get a grand prize of N500,000 and other gifts.

“The Spelling Bee Challenge is an educational championship aimed at increasing and sharpening student’s understanding of English and improving their usage in communication whilst rewarding their competitive and winning spirit,” Okereke said

She noted that the low literacy rate in Nigeria has become worrisome, creating the need for urgent steps beyond conventional learning and classroom teaching like the spelling bee challenge.

“To encourage competitive learning amongst our students, there have to be programmes and initiatives for constructive purposes that promote education and intellectual increase such as the National Mathematics Competition, the National science quiz and others.”
