european-paper-round-up-marseille-want-manchester-united-midfielder-marouane-fellaini

After the UEFA Champions League final, attention can fully turn to the World Cup in Russia and the summer transfer market.

Teams will prefer to get their business done early, whereas selling clubs will hold out, hoping their player enjoys a fantastic tournament and they can hike up the price.

The rumour mill is already spinning and there are transfer rumours aplenty. Our friends at Football Whispers to scour the European media to round up the latest transfer news and big stories.

FRANCE

Marseille have shown interest in signing Marouane Fellaini this summer. The 30-year-old is out of contract and has been mentioned as a target for both AC Milan and Monaco. The French side have held talks with the Belgium international's representatives but his wage demands may prove to be a stumbling block. (L'Equipe)

If any move for Fellaini fails to materialise, OM are also considering a move for Manchester City legend Yaya Toure, also available on a free. Before moving to Olympiakos, the Ivorian midfielder played for Monaco in Ligue 1. (L'Equipe)
Monaco have opened discussions with fellow Ligue 1 side Angers over the possible signing of 16-year-old left-back Rayan Aït-Nouri. Although he has yet to play a first-team game, the defender is highly regarded and his agent, Jorge Mendes, had been considering moving the player to England. Angers want any deal to include a loan return for next season. (L'Equipe)

Rennes are continuing to talk with former Newcastle playmaker, Hatem Ben Arfa, over a possible summer move. He is available on a free, and would welcome a return to the pitch after his disastrous spell at Paris Saint-Germain. (Ouest-France)

ITALY

Although Max Allegri is desperate to keep him, Mario Mandzukic is keen to leave Italy for the Premier League. Recently linked with a move to Manchester United, he is keen to find the right club, a new challenge, not somewhere like China. (CalcioMercato)
Looking to rebuild his squad and challenge for the Champions League once again, Allegri is set to allow Medhi Benatia, Claudio Marchisio and Stefano Sturaro to leave Turin this summer. (Corriere dello Sport)

AC Milan will allow Andre Silva to leave the San Siro for €31m this summer. Previously linked with a shock move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, now the Midlands club are in the Premier League, such a deal, with Jorge Mendes pulling the strings, a deal could be struck. (CalcioMercato)

Sassuolo star Matteo Politano would prefer a move to Inter Milan in the summer. The 24-year-old winger was one of the club's most important players this season, scoring 10 times in 36 games. Napoli are also interested, but he would prefer a move to the Nerazzurri. (Gazzetta dello Sport)

SPAIN

Cristiano Ronaldo shocked everyone, including his team-mates when he announced, after winning the Champions League, he would 'give an answer in the next few days' when asked about his future. His team were shocked and annoyed by his comments, not so much by what he said, but when he chose to tell the world. (AS)

After scoring twice, one a stunning overhead kick, to seal Real Madrid's 3-1 win over Liverpool, Gareth Bale also put doubt in his future in the Spanish capital. The player who has previously interested Manchester United said: "Obviously I need to play every week, something that hasn't been the case this season. I'll have to sit down with my agent and talk about it." (AS)

Once captain Sergio Ramos had lifted the European Cup, he was asked about Ronaldo's comments and while trying to diffuse the situation, made it clear the Portuguese forward must come clean: "I suppose he will have been speaking about a summary of the season. If there is something there, he must clarify it today. He is a key piece for us. He could not be in a better place." (Marca)

Atletico Madrid and Arsenal target, Çağlar Söyüncü, has spoken about his future, without ruling out a move to England: "The Premier League is a really good competition, people close to me tell me that my style of play would suit the Premier League. I don't really mind. I'll do what I need to do to play regularly." The 22-year-old centre-back made 30 appearances for Freiburg this season.

BELGIUM

Michy Batshuayi, who spent the second half of the season on loan at Borussia Dortmund from Chelsea, won't decide on his future until after the World Cup. He says the tournament is his only focus and he doesn't want to think about anything else until afterwards. (HLN)
