Be careful, What you eat! Undergrad bakes Cake with hemp for colleague

Bassey Aniekan, an undergraduate of Delta State University, Abraka got himself into troubled waters after feeding a 17-years colleague with a cake baked with Indian hemp.

According to reports, the Police in Delta State arrested the undergrad for allegedly giving a female student cake laced with Indian hemp. In a statement issued by Police spokesperson, DSP Celestina Kalu on Friday in Asaba, Aniekan ran into trouble after victim started behaving abnormally and was admitted in a hospital for treatment. Kalu said further that a male student from the University reported to the police in Abraka on September 2, 2015 that Aniekan, a student of the university gave the cake to the female student, aged 17.

She said that during interrogation, Bassey confessed that he added Indian hemp to the ingredients used in baking the cake.

“The suspect admitted to have used Indian hemp to bake the cake which he gave the victim; we are still investigating the matter,” Kalu said
