Even Cristiano Ronaldo couldn’t stop himself from admiring Gareth Bale’s wonder goal as Real Madrid beat Liverpool in the Champions Leaguefinal.
Karim Benzema capitalised on Loris Karius’ error to open the scoring for Madrid before Sadio Mane equalised from close range for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
But Bale put Zinedine Zidane’s side back in front with one of the finest goals ever scored in a Champions League final. The Wales international got on the end of Marcelo’s cross with a sublime overhead kick and Karius could do nothing to stop it. Bale then sealed a 3-1 victory for Madrid with his second goal, although his effort should have been easily saved by Karius.
