Rio Ferdinand believes Sergio Ramos was blameless for the challenge which saw Mohamed Salah’s Champions League final cut short by a suspected dislocated shoulder.
The Egypt international became embroiled in a tussle for the ball with theReal Madrid captain just before the half hour. The pair linked arms and fell to the turf with Salah landing awkwardly on his shoulder.
Salah managed to play on for several minutes after receiving treatment, but was forced to leave the field in tears just moments afterwards.
